Some memories are too precious to trust to time.
When Ollie was just four days old, I cut his nails for the very first time — a terrifying mission for a brand-new mum. Those tiny, paper-thin nails seemed far too delicate to touch, but I did it. And then… I couldn’t just throw them away. Instead, I stuck them on a piece of sticky tape and tucked them inside my phone case. Silly? Maybe. Gross? Some might say so. But to me, they’re a piece of our story, and I smile every single time I see them.
I’m the kind of mum who takes thousands of pictures, but I’ve learned that if I don’t print them, they just get lost in the endless scroll of my phone.
