Hey mama,
When I first became a mum, I thought I’d slip back into my old clothes within a few weeks. You know, just like you see on Instagram — new mums smiling with their tiny babies, wearing their pre-pregnancy jeans like nothing happened.
Reality? Very different.
For the first five to six months after Ollie was born, I lived in my button-up pajamas and gym clothes. They were easy, stretchy, and forgiving — and frankly, that’s all I needed at the time.
Now, as Ollie grows and our routine shifts, I’m starting to think about my clothes again. The thing is… they don’t quite fit anymore. My body has changed. My hips, my belly, even my shoulders — they’re all just a little different now. And that’s okay.
Motherhood reshapes us in so many ways, inside and out. Our bodies tell the story of what we’ve been through and what we’ve created.
But here’s something I’ve learned: you don’t have to rush to “get back” to anything. You don’t need to force yourself into old clothes that don’t feel comfortable just because you think you should.
Instead, I’m choosing things that feel good now. Soft fabrics, flattering cuts, pieces that make me feel like me. And that’s why I love the Baby Ollie “SilkNest” Women’s Pajama Set. It’s soft, breathable, and designed for this season of life — one where comfort and confidence matter more than tight waistbands or “getting your body back.”
Because the truth is: you never lost it. You just changed. And that’s beautiful.
With love and softness (like my pajamas),
Renata (Ollie’s mum) 💛
