My Breastfeeding Journey: Finding Peace and Support After Birth

My Breastfeeding Journey: Finding Peace and Support After Birth

Hey mama,

I want to share something very real and personal — my experience with breastfeeding after Ollie was born.

After my cesarean, I struggled to breastfeed. It was hard emotionally, and I felt a wave of guilt and frustration that I didn’t expect. But even though I couldn’t breastfeed directly, I pumped what I could for the first month and fed Ollie using bottles.

We started his feeding with a mix of formula and breast milk, and honestly, just being able to give him some of my milk gave me peace of mind.

The Baby Ollie “MilkBloom” Wearable Electric Breast Pump was a true lifesaver for me — it made pumping easier and more comfortable during those early days.

I also relied on the Baby Ollie “NanoSip” Gravity-Flow Silicone Bottle (150ml) to feed Ollie gently and naturally with both breast milk and formula.

The nurses who visited us were incredibly supportive. They reassured me that Ollie was growing strong, even with little breast milk, and reminded me I was doing a good job. I wasn’t alone in this struggle — many mothers face low milk supply, often related to cesarean births.

Learning to forgive myself and respect my body as it was became part of my healing. Motherhood isn’t about perfection — it’s about love, resilience, and doing your best.

If you’re going through something similar, please know: you’re not alone. You’re enough. And your baby feels your love no matter how they’re fed.

With love and understanding,
Renata (Ollie’s mum) 💛
